For many years, KopoSoko has worked hard to build a trusted brand that helps thousands of Kenyans access products through our Lipa Mdogo Mdogo financing program. Every customer who places an order with us is important, and we have always been committed to providing genuine products, transparent communication, and reliable customer support.
Unfortunately, we are compelled to publish this notice because our business has become the target of an ongoing impersonation and online scam campaign that has caused financial loss to members of the public and significant damage to our reputation.
Our Official Business
KopoSoko is operated by Cosbar Company Limited (Registration No. CPR/2013/124048).
Our only official online platforms are:
Official Website
https://koposoko.com
Official Facebook Page
https://www.facebook.com/KopoSokoKenya
As of 22 July 2026, our official Facebook page has grown to more than 46,000 followers, reflecting the trust that thousands of customers have placed in our business over the years.
Any other website, Facebook page, or social media account claiming to represent KopoSoko should be treated with caution unless we have publicly confirmed it through our official channels.
What Has Been Happening?
Over recent months, we have discovered numerous fake Facebook pages and websites that are unlawfully using the KopoSoko name, branding, and, in some cases, our logo to impersonate our business.
One of the websites currently impersonating our business is:
This website is not owned, operated, authorized, or affiliated with Cosbar Company Limited or KopoSoko.com.
Despite our repeated public warnings, some customers continue to visit these fraudulent platforms, believing they are interacting with our legitimate business.
In many cases, customers complete payments through these fake platforms and later contact us demanding delivery of products. Unfortunately, we have no record of these transactions because the payments were never made to KopoSoko.
This creates heartbreaking situations where customers have lost money to scammers while believing they were dealing with us.
The Damage to Our Reputation
Beyond the financial losses suffered by victims, these impersonation scams have seriously damaged our reputation.
Every week, our customer support team receives complaints from people who believe they have placed an order with KopoSoko, only for us to discover that they were dealing with an impersonator.
Some customers understandably become frustrated and accuse us of taking their money without delivering products. Others leave negative comments online before realizing they never interacted with our official business.
What is even more concerning is that search engines and AI-powered assistants often surface these complaints when people search for “KopoSoko.” While many of these complaints actually relate to fraudulent websites or fake social media pages, the public may not immediately recognize that distinction. This can create the false impression that the complaints are about our legitimate business, unfairly harming the reputation we have spent years building.
Our company has invested significant time, resources, and effort into serving customers honestly. It is deeply disappointing to see that trust undermined by individuals who unlawfully exploit our brand to deceive the public.
We Have Been Warning Customers
This is not the first time we have spoken about these scams.
We have:
- Published scam warnings on our official Facebook page.
- Pinned notices advising customers to use only our official website.
- Repeatedly reminded customers to verify they are using the correct website before making payments.
- Assisted customers who contacted us before making payments.
- Begun reporting fraudulent websites and pages to the relevant authorities..
Unfortunately, the scammers continue creating new pages and websites, making constant vigilance essential.
